Review: Shiner

I'm a sucker for Appalachian hill people stories since those are my people. This novel is full of moonshiners, murder, rape and abuse, with women, of course, getting the worst part of it always. Parts of it were a bit unbelievable, but, hey, it's a novel, so I'll make it work in my mind. I enjoyed Wren and her growth throughout the book and she came to learn her mother's story.
